This new home near Fort William was built using insulated concrete formwork (ICF): interlocking insulated blocks filled with concrete to form a highly insulated, airtight structure, with a steel frame carrying the upper floor and roof.
The build ran from groundworks in spring 2018 through to a weathertight shell, standing-seam metal roof, underfloor heating and screed by the end of the year.
