Privacy Policy

Who we are

Oakover Developments ("we", "us") is responsible for the personal information collected through this website. If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your information, email mary@oakoverdevelopments.com.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry through our contact form we collect your name, email address, phone number (if you give it) and the details of your project that you choose to share.

If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects information about how you use the site, such as the pages you visit, the device and browser you use, and your approximate location. We cannot identify you from this information.

How we use it

We use your enquiry details only to respond to you and to discuss, quote for and deliver your project. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in replying to enquiries and, where a project goes ahead, taking steps to enter into a contract with you.

We use analytics information, only with your consent, to understand which parts of the site are useful and to improve it.

We never sell your information or use it for third-party marketing.

Who we share it with

Enquiries are delivered to us through a form-handling service and our email provider, who process the information on our behalf. Analytics data is processed by Google. These providers may store data outside the UK, in which case they use approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as needed to respond and, if we work together, for as long as required for the project and our legal and accounting obligations. Enquiries that don't lead to a project are deleted within two years.

Cookies

We only set analytics cookies if you accept them in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page. Declining removes the analytics cookies we have set.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time. To make a request, email us and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
